This handmade miniature Chewbacca Mouse by Etsy (spotted by i09) is so cute, that it was tested against Ewoks. The Chewbacca Mouse trumped the Ewok's in cuteness so much, it actually made the Ewoks look like ogres. Just see the test results for yourself:

But when put side by side with an Ewok, the results are quite clear. Ewoks start looking like slobbering ogres, and the Chewbacca Mouse actually becomes even cuter!

The trial was even performed with baby Ewoks after the beta stage, just to be sure. I think you can guess what the outcome was.

Technabob posted this heads-up to the giant Pez dispensers now available at BulkCandyStore. The foot tall Pez dispensers don't just give you a single Pez, they spew out a whole pack at a time! I wanna see Palpatine puke one of these up.

Soon we'll have nostalgic figures from the Muppet Show episode from 1980 which featured Mark Hamill (and his cousin Luke Skywalker), as well as the Muppet Star Wars comic featured in a 1983 edition of Muppet Magazine. These babies are mine, as soon as they hit Disney store locations. Starwars.com reports.

Star Wars toys are still among the most popular, and up near the top are Star Wars Lego and Transformer stuff. Color me kid at heart, but the Vader Transformer is totally hot!
Never heard of this company, but it's not like I'm a crazy hardcore gamer. This teaser trailer looked pretty sweet!
Obviously it's not by Lucas Arts, so I dunno if this will be hitting any stores... anywhere.

I'm currently working through Star Wars Lego: The Complete Saga which is totally rocking. I hadn't really been into gaming at all in recent years (since my friend who had all the consoles moved away :p) but now with my shiny new PS3 I am loving life... when I have the time. I'm currently only about 20% through the game since I'm playing straight through story mode first. About to start Episode V, which is appropriate since snow is now on the ground where I live. Maybe that will help me get into the groove of winter, which I am really resistant to right now. I'll probably dedicate an entry to the game in the future. I just wanted to say that now, I am starving for ALL Star Wars games - more than ever before. Even the once much more wildly popular Star Wars Galaxies. RPG's have always been much lower on my list, but after reading about the new Chapter 7 Galaxies stuff.. of course I want. Now I just need an updated PC and XBox 360. And maybe a couple more jobs to pay for it all. Nah. If I did that I wouldn't have the time to play with them!
Um, did I mention that I started Renegade Squadron on the PSP too? Yeah. Started being the key word. Then Lego Saga entered my life.
Perhaps Lego SW will have to step aside for Lego Batman and Lego Indy! Of course, when Force Unleashed is out, I won't be leaving my PS3 unless absolutely necessary.

Forget about games - how about real life stuff? The Royal Air Force are on their way to becoming true X-Wing pilots! I wish there were pictures available - RAF fashions helmets after Star Wars. Thankfully they're not making them like the original Battlestar Galactica King Tut helmets :p

Star Wars clocks are now updated for the 21st century... check out the new Vader clock with all sorts of pretty lights and stuff. If you have a hard time rolling over to check the time, say because your body is charred from a dive into the lava pit after a long drawn out duel with your best friend... then the time is projected on the ceiling in Sithy red. For your convenience :D
~ Natalie and Hayden are voted to have the worst on-screen chemistry (Thanks Google News and everyone else who already blogged this). Yup. It made me cringe too. I still wish I were in Natalie Portman's shoes, but not the black leather number - nor about half of her other costumes. Still cringing.
~ I've been meaning to get the TPB edition of the Star Wars: Legacy first story arc Broken, but truthfully I'm less interested in actually reading it than I am in the discussions surrounding canon issues (really, I am too chicken that someone is going to kill off Luke, Leia and Han somewhere along the line, and reveal it in Legacy). But since one of my all time favorites, Obi-Wan, is being featured in issue #16, I'll probably pick up just this single issue. The question of Krayt should be answered!

No sooner had I posted a blog about this the other night - then the very next day the Empire magazine Star Wars 30th anniversary edition arrived at my bookstore. I had been looking for it ever since about May 25th, and I thought we just weren't getting them in. And there I was getting trigger happy about to order one over the internet.
I was still considering getting the Han cover, since Han and Luke both are my boys :) But if I did that I know I wouldn't be able to stop, and I would have had to have a larger collection of these collectable covers (yeah, it's the same magazine inside each one). I would have at least wanted one each of Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie, Vader, Anakin, and Obi Wan. But why stop there? I would have also wanted Wicket, the Jawa, Greedo, Boba Fett, Darth Maul. Heck. I want them all now. The Golden Jar Jar cover though... I don't know what to think about that. Ouch. It would have been cool to find it and collect whatever loot you win.
To me though, the big kahuna would be the "Exclusive Cover" shown here. How one gets that I don't know (subscribers only?), but now I can see how collectors can get out of control. I'm happy with my Luke. He really is the classic Star Wars icon to me in many ways. Luke and the exclusive cover, and I'm happy. *Ngh*

- The new sci-fi: A very interesting discussion about the state of sci-fi today from The Guardian Unlimited UK. Not Star Wars specific here, but it still gets mention (of course). New Battlestar Galactica heavy, however, with a dash of Heroes and Lost, a daub of Doctor Who, and a sprinkle of Firefly, Buffy, and X-Files. There's a slight Star Trek aftertaste.
- This last bit is a couple of months old now, but it still deserves mention me thinks, especially since the honor was made official last weekend:
The VES (Visual Effects Society) distinguished what they revere as the top 50 most influential visual effects films of all time, of which Star Wars made it to the very top (grats George and ILM!), and speaking of Blade Runner lately, well they got the second spot! Ha! It's a little after the fact now, but tomorrow I might make a semi-annual pilgrimage to good old Wal-mart for a Star Wars exclusive (pretty much the only reason I'll willingly set foot in Wal-mart).
As announced on starwars.com, a Hasbro toy exclusive for father's day featuring a Vader and Luke figure, and a card to boot, is available only at Wal-mart stores, and "select" stores at that. I already observed father's day with my dad, but if there are any of these left he'll be getting a little something extra in the mail soon. I know he would get a kick out of it. My dad's a fan.
Thanks to Club Jade for the pointer on this, and I agree with Dunc. I want the version with Leia and the torture droid too. Any of you dads get to pick this one up (for yourself)? :)
